The End.

This is quite a sad post to write, but due to my lack of content I think we know whats happening.
I started this blog (formerly Geek Chic Notes) when I was twelve years old. Unfortunately as I have gotten older things have changed, and my passion and love that I once held for this blog is gone. I have enjoyed this little blog immensely over the 3 years its been live, and I would like to thank you for all your support over the years. I will of course continue to read everyone's blogs, I still enjoy fashion and beauty!
It's not all bad news though, I have created a new blog. It is a blog about music, something I am very passionate about. It is going to be a very relaxed blog, so I don't feel stressed about having to post. The new blog is more for my enjoyment, but I would love it if you could take a read here.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to read my blog, I hope you have enjoyed it. I wish you all the best in whatever you choose to do💖

Christmas Party GRWM: Makeup, hair and outfit!

Yesterday I went to my friends family drinks party, so I thought I would show you my makeup, hair and outfit.

Makeup:
For my skin I primed my face, then applied Maybelline Fit Me concealer under my eyes, and L'Oreal True Match Concealer on my blemishes. I set this with my Rimmel Stay Matte powder.
For cheeks, I contoured using the nyx Wonderstick, I highlighted using the Balm Mary Louminizer, and my blush was the Nars Blush in Dolce Vita, which I love. I gave my face an overall bronzed glow using the Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer.
I decided to go for a very simple look on my eyes. I used naked (a meduim brown shadow) in the crease and Mary Louminzer in the inner corners. I lined my eyes with my L'Oreal Super Liner. I then applied some Eyelure false lashes (which I had never used before, very daunting!) and went over the eyeliner again. I finally applied mascara over the top of the falsies to blend the false lashes and my natural lashes together. I also filled in my brows.
Finally, I used  Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker lipgloss on my lips, to complete the look.

Hair:
I backcombed my hair and tied it into a half up half down look. This is so simple but really complimented my look!

Outfit:
I am wearing a black top from Forever 21, and this skirt from H&M. My cute tights are from New Look . My shoes are Chelsea boots from H&M.

I hope you enjoyed this Get Ready With Me. This is my last post before Christmas so I hope you have a very merry Christmas and thank you for all your support. If you don't celebrate Christmas, I hope you have a great day!

Everyday Winter Makeup Routine

Missed my previous Christmas posts?

As I recently did a very full on eye makeup look (linked above) I thought I would show you my everyday look. It is a really pretty look perfect all year round, but particularly in winter. I love the eye look, it really opens up my eyes!

I personally don't wear foundation, as I feel it makes me look cakey, yet I still need concealer on top to cover up my spots. It seems like a pointless extra layer, but that's just me. Anyways my base usually consists of primer, concealer under the eyes and on spots, the powder all over the face. I always press in my concealer instead of rubbing it around as it gives a better coverage, and you can use less. But i do blend the edges of it.

For my brows I fill them in with the brow  colour from this duo. It is a tad top dark so I use it sparingly, so my brows still look natural. I set them with this brow mascara (which has very little product, it is now more of a comb)

For cheeks, I contour below my cheekbones using my Benefit Hoola Bronzer. I then sharpen this line using the highlighter below the contour. To blend it together, I use my bourjois bronzer to combine the two and I bring this up to my temples.
For blush, I use te benefit Rockateur Blush. I love this as it has a subtle sheen so it is a great way to add some highlight as well as blush. I love using my mac 187 brush because it picks up a small amount of product, and I don't like loads and loads of blush.

I generally alternate between this eye look or just a wing (you can see my tutorial here)  but for this look I applied a brown shade in my crease (I mixed Naked and Buck from the naked palette), a shimmery shade on the lid (The Balm Mary Louminizer) and a black eyeshadow along my lashline. I then curled my lashes, applied a black eyeliner pencil onto the outer half my waterline and a white eyeliner in the inner corners. Finally I put on mascara and that's the look.

For lips I went for a subtle Christmas look and used a red lipgloss by 17. It doesn't come out really red so it is a great daytime look.

I hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful. I am really enjoying writing makeup posts at the moment, if you have any post requests let me know! Also I would really love 160 followers before Christmas! We are 9 away, so go follow the blog on BlogLovin.

Christmas Lookbook: 3 outfit ideas perfect for the festive season!

Missed my previous Christmas posts?

I haven't done a look book in so long, and they are one of my favourite types of blog posts! I took all these photos by myself, so there was effort put into balancing my iPad against books and dashing to get in the timer camera. But hey, it's Christmas so it's all okay.

This first outfit is my personal spin on the Christmas jumper. I actually had to stick the red ball back onto my own, but I have had it for two years so I don't mind. It is Christmas Jumper Day today here in the UK, all in aid of Text Santa. Make sure to donate if you haven't already! Generally the Christmas Jumper is worn with jeans, but I wanted to change things up and wear it over a shirt dress. I love how the collar sticks out over the jumper! My jumper is quite long which makes the dress seem shorter than if is (if that makes sense) but I think this is a casual, fashionable look perfect for Christmas.
Dress: Forever 21
Jumper: Primark (old)

Outfit two is possibly my favourite outfit as it is so cute! I love the colour of my cropped jumper, it feels perfectly wintery. The knit also contrasts with the floral print on my skirt, giving the look more depth. To me, this could be worn to a smart casual event, especially with the chelsea boots I am wearing (which you can just about see in the photo) and a smart jacket. Paired with a red lip, this look is perfect for a family get together this festive season.
Jumper: Miss Selfridge
Skirt: Forever 21
Boots: H&M

This look is one I have been living in this past week. For me school ended last week, however I have more mock exams at the beginning of January so I have to revise over Christmas. As I have been revising all week, the comfy clothes have really made an appearance! Despite the fact I am "revising" in the photo, this look would be ideal for a Christmas night in, especially with all the good tv that's coming on next week. I would wear this on Christmas Eve, but I'm travelling to my grandparents for Christmas.
Top: H&M (old)
Leggings: Primark
Slipper Socks: Boots
Scrunchie: Urban Outfitters

There are my three Christmas looks, I hope you enjoyed them. Hope you are all enjoying the festive season!

Festive Holiday Golden Smokey Eye

Before I begin, I would like to apologise in advance if I don't explain things very well! I love this golden look, with red lips this would be perfect for a holiday party, or if it is muted down slightly it could be perfect for Christmas Day. If you recreate the look, please TWEET me and show me!

Before I started, I primed my eyes using a maybelline colour tatoo in creamy beige. It reminds me of the Urban Decay primer potion in Eden, it really helps your eyeshadows pop. I also applied some sticky tabs to create a crisp edge.

Firstly, I applied the grey colour from this body shop brow and liner duo along the edge of the tab and blended it into the crease. This colour will be vital for blending the whole look together. Next, I applied maybelline Colour Tatoo in On and On Bronze to my lid. This will really bring out all the gold shadows.

Next I am applying two gold colours to my lid, these are Spontaneous by stila and Half Baked by Urban Decay. I basically layer these and blend with the grey. Then for extra impact, I am adding a black eyeshadow to the outer corner of my crease.

Next I repeat the layering and blending steps with the golds, grey and black. To add more dimension and highlight, I applied The Balm Mary Louminizer to the inner third of my eye. Then I removed the tabs to finish the eyeshadow look!

Next we need to balance out the lower lashline. Going from the outer corner to the inner corner, I applied the black, the grey, either gold and then the highlighter. I blended these all together to make it look smooth. To make the edge where the tab had been covering a bit more smokey, I blended the black upwards along this line.

The beauty of using the tabs as a guide for eyeshadow means that there is a clear guideline to create a wing. I am using the L'Oreal Super Liner, which I love. This liner goes right into the inner corner. You can make this wing as long and as thick as you like.

Then we curl our lashes and I applied the Benefit Smokin liner along my tightline and the outer half of my waterline. I then used the Rimmel white eyeliner on my inner corner and the inner third of my waterline. Then I applied many coats of mascara to my upper and lower lashes. I think false lashes would complete this look, but I skipped them for this look.

And here is the finished look! If you have any questions about it, let me know.

I love this look so much, it is so perfect for Christmas! Have you been to any Christmas parties?
