Autumn/Fall Eye Makeup Tutorial

Hey! Its phoebs :)
Woo Saturday is finally here! School is going so slowly at the moment, sigh. As it is pretty much autumn now, I thought I would share with you guys another seasonal post. I have seen a lot of autumnal makeup tutorials surface on youtube, so I thought I would put my spin on it. Apologies a lot of these products are high end, but just use the products that you like to use. If you do recreate the look, be sure to tweet/email/instagram me a pic!

First off, I am going to fill in my brows with the Benefit Browzings. I am going for a strong brow, but do whatever suits you best.
Next I am going prime my eyes with a sample Urban Decay Primer Potion. A drugstore alternative would be collection lasting perfection concealer.
For eyeshadow, I am going to use the Bourjois Chocolate Box Bronzer all over the lid and into the crease.
I applied this with the revlon concealer brush then blended with the Revlon Blending Brush.
As a brow bone and inner corner highlight, I used the pink from this benefit pallete. Then I lined my waterline with the liner.
Next, I took the black on an angled brush and used it under my waterline. To stop any harsh lines I blended upwards with the revlon blending brush.
I then applied a Stila Eyeliner in a purple colour to the outer corner of my upper lashline and blended it out.
Finally for eyes, I applied my favourite mascara to my upper lashes.
I then completed the look with a lip colour. I decided to keep it natural on the lips, but a red or berry shade would work too.

That is it for this tutorial, hope you enjoyed. Would love to see your favourite autumnal makeup looks! Also thanks so much for 100 Bloglovin followers! More on that in my next post, I want to do something to celebrate with you guys, comment/tweet me any suggestions you have.

Fall/Autumn Must Haves: Beauty and Fashion

Hey! Its phoebs :)
I was planning on posting my August Favourites today, but I felt I left it a bit late so I decided to show you my Autumn Must Haves! I have beauty products and an outfit that incorporates all my favourite autumn trends.

First up for beauty is powder. Personally I prefer a matte base, paticularly in the colder months. I am not sure why, but I do so lets roll with it haha. I love the L'Oreal True Match Powder because it sets your makeup in place, plus adds some extra coverage. It is great if you need to touch up during the day because it is compact, and has a mirror. I use this instead of touching up with concealer.

My next fall favourite, is an eyeshadow pallete from Benefit. Its the Smokin Eyes kit, and I love it! The pink is a great inner corner highlight, and really lasts all day. I love using it all over the lid too, with the grey blended out from the outer corner and the black as an eyeliner. I love how it comes with a little brow kit, thats what persuaded me to get the proper Benefit Browzings. Personally the eyeliner is not my favourite, but it is good to use on the go as it fits in the kit. I think smokey eyes are often more wearable in the autumm/winter time. If you would like a tutorial with this palette, let me know.

I love wearing glossy, bright, lips during the summer. They make any look more fun. Obviously bright lips can still be worn in autumn, but prefer reds and deeper colours. Personally I am a bit scared of a matte red lipstick, so I use a red lipgloss. For a slight red tint, but moisturised lips, I love the BabyLips on Cherry Me. If I am feeling really bold, I use my Clinique Chubby Stick in Grandest Grape.

That is all my beauty favourites, next onto the outfit.
I love leggings. I wear them for the majority of the year, but autumn is probably the most weather appropriate time for leggings. Mine are from mint velvet, and they are super thick. Ok, mint velvet is a mothers kind of shop, but these are so comfy!

Floral print is a massive trend in summer, but I think floral is a great summer to autumn look. This top is from forever 21, and I love how the black contrasts the bright flowers.
My next favourite is knitted caridgans. I think knitted sweaters are more of a winter thing, but cardigans for autumn are great because they complete an outfit and are easy just to throw on. My one is from Zara.

That is all my autumn/fall beauty and fashion must haves, I hope you enjoyed. I would love to know your beauty and fashion favourites too! I am also trying to get 100 bloglovin followers by the end of next week, so if you like , you could follow the blog maybe? Haha

All About Sweaters

Hey! Its phoebs :)
Happy wednesday! Only two more days to the weekend. This week has gone extremely slowly I feel like, plus I know the weekend will happen as quick as a wink.

Recently I have been getting my autumn/winter clothes for this year and I realised I REALLY love sweaters. They are just such a great piece for this time of year. I thought I would show you all the sweaters I own to give you some style inspiration. Not all of them are from this season, but my autumn/winter lookbook will only include clothes still avaliable to buy. I just need someone to help me take photos for the lookbook (*cough* ellie millie helena *cough*) . Lets get started.

My hollister jumpers:
I didn't really know how to catagorise these jumpers so I went with quite an unoriginal name haha. I got these jumpers a couple of years ago (the white one is slighlty more recent) but these kind of things are always in stock. I wear them with leggings, boots and accesories. I think they suit a 'lazy day' outfit.

V-Neck Sweaters:
I really do apologise for the shocking photo quality, I wanted a post up tonight so I had to work with what I had (and the only seeable floor space in my room) . These do not get much wear really, but the blue one is from Primark and the pink from hollister. They both look a bit worse for wear but I love both the colours on me, they seem to work well.

Printed Sweaters:
Currently these two are my favourite. The black one says 'nothing to wear' and more so than the whole printed idea, I LOVE the cut. It is slightly cropped and has a boxy feel to it. I got it last year in the sale at Zara. The 'full time fashion blogger' jumper is current, it is £25 from River island. It is pretty big on me because the only size left closest to mine was Small-Medium. I love how soft this one is, and the caption is just perfect. River Island Sweaters are great at the moment, I would suggest checking them out.

Knitted Sweaters:
The grey sweater is current and £20 from boohoo. I think it would look great with jeans, or a skater skirt and tights. Both of these are more for winter as they are very thick. I love the fact the grey sweater has heart patches on the elbows, I think it is so cute. The patterened sweater was from last year and I got it in Debenhams from the brand Henry Holland. I really love the print, though I realise not everyone will. The colours come up more pink on camera, but it is more of a burgendy so it suits autumn quite nicely. I wore this to death last year.

That is all the sweaters I have to share with you, which was your favourite? I am sorry they are not all avaliable to buy right now but I thought maybe you would get some inspiration from them.

OOTD- I'm gonna buy that girl a diamond ring

Hey! Its phoebs :)
Currently I am chilling in my room, wearing  my heeled chelsea boots just because I can. But thats not the point of this post haha. The first couple of days of school have been alright, tiring, to say the least. I am not looking forward to a full on week, but it will hopefully get easier. I was supposed to be doing my August favourites today, but I just really liked my outfit yesterday and wanted to share it with you guys. I will try and post my Favourites next week.

Top: H&M
Skirt: Primark

I love how cute the baggy jumper looks with this style of skirt. I think it is a great summer into autumn style because the jumper keeps you warm yet the skirt keeps it summery. I also like that the skirt is monochrome, so it can be worn in all seasons.
My h&m high top trainers have featured a lot in recent outfits. They are the only closed toe shoe (that aren't boots) I own at the moment, but they have lasted well considering how inexpensive they were.
I am trying to make my outfit pictures a bit better so please let me know what you think of them!
I personally think the accesories make the outfit. The hat is from h&m. I originally got this because I sort of joke about bowler hats with some of my friends so when I saw it, I had to buy it! I feel like it compliments this outfit very well, and puts an autumnal twist on the outfit. My long necklace is from Kylie at M&Co. I have (and will continue to) show you my top picks from kylie once a month. Because of this, the lovely team at kylie sent me the necklace along with some other things!
I am so grateful to Kylie for sending me these, I was very excited by it all! This could not of happened without you all though, so thank you!
I really wanted a long necklace to wear with infinity scarfs this autumn so I am really grateful for receiving it.

That is all I have for you today, I hope you enjoyed it. Do you have any clothes you love for fall? I also want post requests so if you have anything you want to see, please contact me!
P.s I realise the lyrics in the post title are justin bieber, but the version of the song Favourite Girl that I like is by the Icarus Account. Check them out on youtube!

#backtoschoolwithphoebs : First day GRWM, Makeup, Hair, Fashion

Hey! Its phoebs :)
Today I am posting the final post in my back to school series! I have really enjoyed doing the series, it just means I actually have to go back to school now haha. I am back tomorrow but I did a 'back to school' get ready with me today because I can show you an outfit idea and things like that, because I have to wear a uniform and rules are very strict haha. Lets get into it!

I had a shower the night before where I washed, dried and straightened my hair. If you would like a shower/haircare routine just comment below. When I woke up the first thing I did was go downstairs to have breakfast. I was in a slight rush so I had the cereal shreddies and a glass of orange juice. I linked above all my back to school posts, so if you want another breakfast idea, check out the one above.

Once I got back upstairs I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth and washed my face. I hadbeen  doing so well with a skincare routine recently it was very disheartening to wake up to an array of spots on my face, but hey ho.

Next things I got dressed. I went for a comfy but cute look. If you want to make a statement, maybe this look isn't for you but I don't think you can go wrong with a shirt and leggings.
Top: Superdry
Leggings: TopShop
Shoes : H&M
Bag: Debenhams
Rings: Topshop
Bracelet : Pandora

After that, it is onto makeup. I kept it very natural, and did a look I would be able to get away with for school.
Firstly I moisturised my face.
(Left to right)
Garnier BB cream in Light
Maybelline Anti Age Eraser Eye Concealer in Light
L'Oreal True Match Concealer in Vanilla

Maybelline Brow Drama in Dark Brown
Benefit Browzings in Light

Primark Eyelash Curlers
Benefit Smokin Eyes Palette (I used the pink shade in the inner corners)
Maybelline Rocket Volume Express Mascara

Boots Lipsalve
L'Oreal Carise Rouge in 03 Lovely Rose

The look:
I think it is very natural and subtle. The concealer can cover the spots very well  but I didn't want to ruin my skin any further so I used a tiny amount.

As you can see with my hair I just wore a headband from primark, to keep it off my face.

For fragrance, I went with the ted baker body spray. Of course I also wore deoderant, but thats kind of a given.

That is my last post in this series! I hope you enjoyed it . Have a great school year, I would love to know how your first day at school/uni/work went! Remember to check out the other posts in the series for more back to school goodness haha.
