OOTD- Chelsea Talking

Hey! Its phoebs :)
I feel like I havent done an OOTD in forever! The weather was so good (almost too good, the lighting was rather tricky) it would of been silly not to take advantage of it somehow.
Yesterday I went to Kings Road in London with my friend (shoutout to Helena ey) and she introduced me to Brandy Melvile. I mean, of course I had heard of it, but there are only 2 shops in the UK, so I never looked on their site. And if you ever happen to be in Kings Road, please go to Brandy. It was literally all my style haha. It wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be. Though they only stocked one size, which seemed weird. That might only be a uk thing though, so if your from the USA please let me know if they do more sizes.

 Boots: Forever 21
Socks: Primark
I thought the socks and Chelsea Boots would look odd together, but I actually loved the look it created!
Lola loves to crash my OOTDS haha. Sunglasses: New Look
Skirt: Brandy Melville
Top: Forever 21

I am going to California in the summer, and I am looking forward to the shopping! I love Forever 21 and Brandy Melville now, I also want to see Bethany Motas collection in Areo. And all the beauty brands and launches we don't get in the UK. Wow I should probably start saving haha.

Lola is such a photobomb, I love it haha. You can't really see it in the photo, but I am wearing a bralet, which is from Brandy Melville.

So the outfit as a whole is inspired by my Chelsea visit, hence the Chelsea boots haha. I love how classy this looks. It has a lot of wintery colours, but the outfit itself is very airy, making it great for spring.

I hope you enjoyed the post, do you like the Chelsea style?
Goodbye!x

The EASIEST French Manicure Ever?!?

Hey! Its phoebs :)
So I am basically the worst blogger ever, sorry! I just havent got much inspiration at the moment. Its not like I don't enjoy blogging, because I do, but I want to make my posts as good as they can be. Anyways, I can barely paint my nails in one solid colour eaisily, so french manicures are a pain for me. I recently had a manicure when I was in bath with my family and Ellie, and I had completely forgotten they had shaped my nails, so when I removed the polish, I was surprised to see my nails looking so good! With that in mind, I decided to give them a french manicure, because my nails are usually short and uneven.
All you need is a nail white pencil, clear polish, and pink polish (this is only needed for the full effect, if you really cant do nail polish, just the clear looks good too)

Nail whitening pencils can usually be found in manicure sets, but if you cant find one, a white eyeliner that is not too waxy will do just fine, but it will probably only last one night. All you do its use the crayon on the backs of your nails, to give them a white effect.
You use the crayon on this part of the nail.
(i used white eyeliner on the index finger)

Then I go in with my base coat of polish, to give the nails a shiny look.
After each step I always go back in with the pencil.

After the clear polish has dried, I go in with my pale pink shade. I find it so much easier to paint the main part of the nail, rather than just the tip, because there is a larger area. To avoid painting the tips, you could use nail guides, but I used sticky notes to help.

Finally I go back in with the crayon underneath my nail.

Done!
I know its not a proper french manicure, but the nails look nice in the end and it is an easier alternative. I highly recommend finding a nail pencil/crayon because it is so quick and easy to use. If your nails ever need whitening I would rather use this than have a shaky white line of polish on my tips.

I hope you enjoyed this post, and if you have any french manicure tips (was that a pun? Not a very good one *cries* ) please comment below!
Goodbye!x

Hollister Inspired Makeup and Hair (Mostly Drugstore!!)

Hey! Its phoebs :)
I was watching someones youtube video (cannot remember what or whose it was haha) and a suggested video was a GRWM for working at hollister. Which got me thinking what if I attempted a Hollister model makeup and hair look for you guys? I always see Victoria Secret Angels tutorials on youtube, but never Hollister ones. I have called it a Hollister makeup look, however it really is a simple, summer makeup look. Though it is barely spring in England right now *sighs* .

** disclaimer ** I personally do not agree with Hollister/Abercrombie's (etc) way of only employing people to work in their shops if they have a certain "look". I am in no way suggesting you have to do this makeup and hair look in order to have this "look" , this is just a bit of fun, so please treat it like any other makeup tutorial. There is no point in thinking their " look"is the ideal look, everyone is beautiful in their own different way. Love you all **

MAKEUP

I firstly mixed this Rimmel Primer with some of my Benefit highlighter, to give my skin a natural, dewy base. I have heard that some Hollister shops have a no makeup policy for their employees, so to keep the base makeup natural, I applied the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer under my eyes and on blemishes. I blended it in with my fingers for a natural effect. What I like about this concealer is how creamy it is, so it doesn't look cakey. I set this with some translucent powder. As my brows are naturally thick, I just used the maybelline brow drama gel to neaten them. If you have more sparse brows, filling them in would still go with the look, it's all personal preference really.
I look really creepy here aha, but the look so far.
On my eyes , I just curled my lashes and applied a few coats of mascara for a fluttery effect. I also used a white eyeshadow to highlight the inner corners of my eyes, for a brightening effect.

Hollister models always look bronzed and tanned, so I used my bourjois bronzer as a contour (because I have no cheekbones) and as an all over bronzer. Apply bronzer where you like to, I apply it on my cheekbones, jawline, and temples. For lips, I decided to go slighlty more bold than usual, but a natural gloss or peach lipstick would compliment this look well. I used the max factor lip pencil in 04 pink princess. Then I applied my H&M nude lipgloss to my bottom lip and my maybelline lipgloss in 130 Fuchsia Flash to my top lip and mixed them together, if that makes sense. As my lips then looked very glossy, I blotted my lips, so they only had a subtle shine.
Overall, the lip combination created a pretty, pink colour. That is the makeup done!

HAIR
Hollister models seem to always have beachy waves, or just a relaxed, beach style. I washed my hair this morning and just let it dry naturally for this look. Another way of achieving this would be plaiting your hair (wet if you want a full on wavy look, or dry if you want a general relaxed style, like mine) the night before and taking them out the next day. Finally, another beach style would be a messy side braid, I would of done this but my hair is quite short for a side braid haha.

I hope you enjoyed this hollister inspired look, comment below any requests for other looks!
Goodbye!x
P.s the photo of the two models in the first picture is from Hollisters Instagram account.
